FIRST OF ALL, HOW TO START?
So this is so simple to use and analyze, the tricky part is
to design, because various design aspect is considered with parallel
calculations. So finding which one is your answer might find a tricky one to
you at first. But don’t worry that’s why this guide manual is given to use it.
The content and design concept is of limit state method as
given in IS:456-2000.

Data required.
The basic data required of beam to solve and analyze beam
is as follows.
1.
Width of beam b mm.
2.
Effective depth of beam d in mm.
3.
Grade of concrete fck N/mm2.
4.
Grade of steel used as tension reinforcement fy
N/mm2.
Only works with fy 250,415 & 500 N/mm2.
5.
Diameter of bar used as tension reinforcement
mm.
6.
No of bars used as tension reinforcement.
This data is required to find
out moment of resistance the beam can carry. But to calculate safe load which
that beam can carry, some extra positions data required. As follows.
7.
Length of beam m.
8.
Effective cover in mm.
That’s it, and here you are
ready to find solution of any desired rcc singly beam by providing above
mentioned data.
Getting familiar with excel sheet.
The
separate table is providing you information of analysis, that analysis table is
all you have to see, and the table is formatted to make is easy to understand.
All labels of column representing respective property of beam is stated clearly

safe load the beam can carry without any problem is given in color this.

in same row, but remember this sheet is created to check the answers only so
for that purpose you can set up solutions of 10 beams at once.
After that you have to rewrite all the data to get further
solutions.
